In fact, isn't their whole bracelet program an effort towards addressing the economic disparity between the north and south. Albeit, only a fraction of people will benefit but it's a start. And the Schools for Schools program seems aimed at raising the standard of education which is positively correlated with a higher economic standard. I'd say that their efforts towards better educational opportunities will be the genesis of economic improvement. I feel that IC has been pretty intentional about the economic factor.
