Raise awareness! Raise funds! Tell people to check out movie or the website!

Thoughts:
It was extremely educational. I had no idea any of this was going on before I saw IC. The only problem I had heard about via media from Africa was the AIDS crisis. I really liked how you interviewed different people and it wasn't a typical "we'll show them pictures of starving children and ask for money" approach.

Inspiration:
Inspiration: Nephew Sam needed a project and I had been meaning to have a showing of IC at my school. December 16th we had a house party showing of it.

Tell People:
If you see this movie and are moved or inspired by it go do something! Raise awareness! Raise funds! Tell people to check out movie or the website!

Story:
My old Youth Leader showed my Youth Group this a couple months ago. It inspired all of us to "go and do something" but for all but a few that faded from action plan. A student run group I'm in at my school (Nephew Sam) was looking for ideas for a project to do and I thought this was perfect.

God blessed us in miraculous ways, we raised a bit of money, and were able to help raise awareness.

Thoughts:
The film was amazing. It has truly changed my life.

Inspiration:
we couldn't not try to help. People needed to know.

Tell People:
Through God, we can beat this.

Story:
A couple of my friends saw the video at a church camp this past summer. They were rediculously excited and wanted to hold a festival in order to raise money. After showing the video a couple of times, thats exactly what we did. It was amazing how God blessed us. Everytime we turned around we were being showered with some random thing that we had desperately needed. People popped out of the woodwork to help us in any way they could. Student led, we practically lived in the church office for about a month, making flyers and calls. At the "Fez" we sold jewelry, duct tape ties, videos, belts, and food. The turnout was amazing! (especially considering the fact that we live in a rather ruel area). God blessed us in miraculous ways, we raised a bit of money, and were able to help raise awareness.

This documentary is a perfect example of how He uses people to for His purpose and to help His children.

Thoughts:
It opened my eyes to the suffering of the world. I heart ached for those children. It was done beautifully and in a way that made everyone who saw it want to take action and stop the abuses of those innocent children.

Inspiration:
Our university sponsors coffee houses, and they are pretty popular. We wanted to have something that would interest many different people and that would bring in a lot of money for the children in Uganda.

Tell People:
God is all-powerful. This documentary is a perfect example of how He uses people to for His purpose and to help His children.

Story:
I am a student at Arkansas Tech University, and the campus ministry I'm part of, the CCSC, showed the documentary on Feb. 9. Last Thursday, Feb. 16, we sponsored a Coffee House to benefit the IC. One of the members of the CCSC played guitar and his friend sang. We sold all types of coffee beverages, specially made chocolate goodies, and desserts. In total, we raised about $900. It was a great night, one of the best we've had in a long time. Everyone enjoyed it, and we hope to do it again soon.

My friends and I, as well as a teacher, are going to have a screening of the moving at our school and raise money by selling club t-shirts and bracelets.

Do whatever you can to help.

A group from my school are coming up with ways to raise money and send it to the children there.

Thoughts:
It's very moving and it breaks my heart... all the kids here worry about what to where to school and get good grades when these children are worried about if the rebels are going to find them and if they'll live to see another day... its sad how we worry about what to eat for lunch and their worried about IF their going to eat at all that day

Inspiration:
I hate seeing these children run for theirs lives, they shouldn't have to their only kids and they shouldn't have to worry about these things.

Tell People:
Its your problem too.

Story:
A group from my school are coming up with ways to raise money and send it to the children there. I plan not to get just the high school involved but my church and also our town.

I am going to first go to the night commute and also raise money so I can buy all 8 braclets and then raise awareness and money about Invisible Children.

Tell People:
I want to tell everyone that if they haven't seen this film they should and they should help fight. Get these braclets into stores and also my sister is trying to get Starbucks store's in NC to sell them for yall.

Story:
Here is my story. My sister came home from UNCC one day and was talking about invisible children and showed me the web site. well that night me and my parents ordered the dvd and while i was waiting for it i visted your site daily looking at things and just learning about Invisible Children. Well, when we got the dvd in today I got home from a track meet and as soon as the 6:00 news went off I put it in the dvd player and watched it with my parents as soon as it got done I went to my room grabbed my wallet and put all the money I had in it and I put it all in to a jar and I am saving up $139 so I can buy me them 8 bracelets and I am also going to raise money from my church and school and give it all to invisible children becasue this is 50000000000 times more important then the Iraqi war. Well, that is my story so far, but I want to get to go and see the Invisible Children and help as much as I can.

I decided to print out "Invisiblechildren.com" In huge lettters and staple it to all the telephone poles in my town.

Thoughts:
I thought the film was amazing. Up until the film I didnt know anything about the invisble children. Its like, you know things are bad in other places, and you dont expect the world to be perfect, but this is where it crosses the line.

Inspiration:
At the end of the film, you wanted people to use their talent to get the word out. I wanted to be apart of that. I am a full time student, working mom and wife so I dont have alot of time to put something together. I thought this was the best way to get it out there.

Tell People:
That if everyone could just do somthing as simple as I did, then things will change

Story:
I decided to print out "Invisiblechildren.com" In huge lettters and staple it to all the telephone poles in my town. Maybe if people see it enough they will visit the site and learn more about it. Or maybe they will ask people about it. When the global night comute approches they will put two and two togtether and relalize this is something big they should be apart of.

You gave names, and faces, and emotions to the "statistics" and allowed the world to see that we are all humans connected in the struggle for survival.

Thoughts:
I have never been so exposed to the raw vulnerability of the human condition. While I have been passionate about making a difference in the world, I have always operated in abstractions. I am a truly romantic idealist and this film only strengthened my convictions to championing for human rights. You gave names, and faces, and emotions to the "statistics" and allowed the world to see that we are all humans connected in the struggle for survival. I believe that this film has the potential to define our era, both artistically and politically.

Inspiration:
My friend (Ashley Beard of Team South) Introduced me to the Invisible Children Program. I wanted to join you all on your urban safari, but for some reason my parents felt it neccessary for me to graduate high school. In that case, I decided that while you all are out on the road raising awareness, I can do my part and raise awareness on my own home ground. After watching the movie, my conscious and my spirit would not allow me to not act in some way.

Tell People:
Come to the event in June! We want to raise as much money as possible and we hope to rally support.

Story:
I am a Senior at Rancho Bernardo High School in San Diego CA. I am currently planning a benefit concert at my high school for June 3rd, 2006. We have already booked 4 or 5 local high school bands, and we are looking for a "headline" act. It has been very well received by my peers.

Story:
I go to Indiana Wesleyan University and am a resident in Bowman House. In one of our house (group) meetings during first semester our Resident Director showed Invisible Children film. Shortly after the film was shown, all of Bowman was inspired to raise money. One of the residents (Justin Jones) got the idea to make a cd of original music to benefit IC. He got together with 5 other musicians in Bowman, made the cd and sold it for $5. In the end, over 200 cd's were sold. Another event that was done by Bowman House was a Date Auction. In February over 20 Bowman guys were auctioned off and in the end we raised $800 for IC.
