Don't become comfortably numb with these issues, fight, join the cause, speak for those who cant!!

Thoughts:
Wow... I cant begin to describe what i think about this film. It was just so powerful and real.

Keep this alive, keep it going, don't forget, don't become comfortably numb with these issues, fight, join the cause, speak for those who cant!!

Story:
I was recently at a Model United Nations Conference in Angra Dos Reis, Brasil. One night a school from Argentina sat all of us 300 or so delegates down to watch Invisible Children. I had already heard of the movie from one of my teachers in the American school in Sao Paulo, and I really wanted to see it. I had my chance at the conference. the moments the lights went on, and the movie was over, I was left in awe. Being born in Venezuela, and currently living in Brazil I am accustomed to seeing poverty and hunger. But this was an extreme of what I see. After watching the movie, I thought about my trip to South Africa a couple of Christmas' ago and couldn't help the anger dwelling within me. I was there on a first class tour, which at the time seemed ridiculous, since I was surrounded by poverty and disease. I felt like i was only contributing to it all. I have always been invovled in my community, knowing that making small changes can help, however after leaving South Africa, I had a certain passion which carried me through it all. After Invisible Children, this passion intensified. WE THE YOUTH can make a difference. After this video my collegues and I are arranging an assembly at our school in Sao Paulo devoted to showing the video and talking with our classmates about it. We will keep it going, I will keep it going. There aren't words to describe how inspired and sad and I am after watching this movie.

A year ago if you would have told me a film would move me to pick up and move to Uganda I would have not believed it.

Thoughts:
It was amazing and inspiration

Inspiration:
The belief that people should know what is happening

Tell People:
Go to Uganda

Story:
Spring of 2006 I saw the film in Siloam Springs. Arkansas at my University. After that I vowed to do whatever I could to help. On April 29 I met a girl name Emily who was heading the GNC in Siloam. We worked together at the GNC and it was amazing. I also held a screening at my work and raise some money. That was all nine months ago. Now, as I am writing this Emily and I are sitting at Uganda Christian University in Mukono. Uganda. We have been to IDP camps and traveled all over Uganda. We have been here for 3 month an will be here for another month. A year ago if you would have told me a film would move me to pick up and move to Uganda I would have not believed it.

I was a Peace Corps volunteer in Africa 20 years ago, and this movement offers a chance to continue that volunteer work.

Thoughts:
Moving, inspiring, devestating.

Inspiration:
The youth department at our church sponsored the screening of the movie. After watching the movie, I was inspired to get involved. I was a Peace Corps volunteer in Africa 20 years ago, and this movement offers a chance to continue that volunteer work.

Tell People:
No matter how great the cause, as a volunteer you will learn more and receive more from your efforts than you will ever dream. It will change you forever.

Story:
I am organizing the confirmation class at our church to make a night walk, sleep on the gym floor and walk back to the starting point, plus have several activities in the night to teach the kids that they can make a difference in the world. The kids are collecting sponsors for the walk and the money will be donated to the Invisible Children project. This event will begin tomorrow, March 23-24.

Hi well at first I didnt really care about it until I saw what was going on. It touched my heart in many ways and I loved it. I really want to go and help. I feel that God is calling me to help with this.

To tell you the honest truth im more excited about going to Displace Me than i ever could be to go to the beach

Thoughts:
the video had a huge impact on me. ever since we watched it in class i havent had a single day when i havent thought about it. im giving up my spring break to flordia with my best friend so i can go to the displacement in DC. and to tell you the honest truth im more excited about going to DC than i ever could be to go to the beach. this is a cuase that needs to be helped and i wish i could do more.

Inspiration:
i dont know.

this is a cuase that needs to be helped.

Story:
i dont really have a huge impacting heartstring story. all i know was i really wanted to go watch the movie in the auditorium so i could miss spanish class. but my teacher didnt sign us up. so me and a few other people begged if we could watch a DVD someone had purchased. i was one of the only kids in the room that stayed awake through the whole thing and actually was impacted by it. i cried. i left class to go buy the DVD and a shirt. and im talking everyone i know into going to the displacement.

We are not our own universe, only a country. We were all created equal under God so shouldn't we help others as we would want to be helped?

Thoughts:
It was more inspiring to me than you could even imagine. I immediately wanted to help in any way I possibly could.

Inspiration:
Watching the film not only brought tears to my eyes but pain in my heart. I felt pain and fear for people whom I have never met, I cried tears for those who I saw could not cry. It devastated me, inspired me, upset me..every type of these emotions imaginable, but of the ut-most..it motivated me. I knew the minute the film started that i would want to be involved, that I would want to do everything in my power to stop the pain and sadness of those in Uganda. That I wanted to be apart of making the invisible children seen and heard and felt. I want their stories to reach across the nation and the world and for people to come together and as a people, as one, sop the nonsense and suffering.

Tell People:
People say things like this would never happen in America. But what about the rest of the world? We are not our own universe, only a country. We were all created equal under God so shouldn't we help others as we would want to be helped? Wat if this WERE happening to us in America? What if we were the ones being neglected by the rest of the human race? See yourself through their eyes. Displace yourself.

Story:
I cried my eyes out for hours after watching the film. I have dedicated myself to this cause. As an up-coming junior in highschool I havent been able to decide at all what I want to do with my life...until now. While still in high-school I feel I cannot do as much, but for what I can I will do my best. For my culminating project as well as life fullfilling project I plan to get actively involved and try to help fundraise for this movement. Hoping to set up a booth at our up-coming county fair with t-shirts, getting my school involved in as much as possible.

Tell People:
tell the the word of invisble children to people all over the world to help uganda

Story:
i think that it is really unfair for the children over there to go through that all they want to do is live there life and have fun. but it so digusting that the rebels come to abduct them and kill them. i praise god that something will change.

Tatyana Reisini

We need to give these children a life and a future.

Thoughts:
I thought it was one of the most intensely touching and ispiring films. its not like all those feed the children ads etc, it really gives you a first look at how serious the matter is and makes you want to go there yourself and do something.

Inspiration:
A few teachers at my school were doing the screening, i saw flyers for it tapped alll over the walls at the school and i wanted to go so bad but couldnt make it because of work right after school, so i asked my english teacher to try to keep a copy or something of the film, and he did=] we watched in class the next day,and my haert went out.

Tell People:
This a serious issue, and these kids need help. We all take our daily acitivities for granted, everyone single one of us does. and then you see a film like this, and it really touches you, and makes you want to get up then and there and get on a plane and do something about it. We need to give these children a life and a future.

Story:
Ive pretty much always wanted to join the peace corps or something, and ever since i was little i always watched those feed the children ads, my eyes were glued to the poor babies, but i never got the courage or inspiration to something. I always tell my mom to a adopt a little Sundanese baby or something kidding around. but this is no joke. these kids need help, and if we dont do it, no one will.

It just takes one person to start a revolution, make that person you.

Thoughts:
I think the Invisible Children film is moving and incredible. The film shows everything that is going on and does not sugar coat anything. The journey the three young filmakers go on is the same journey you are going on while watching it. It hits a spot in your heart.

Inspiration:
The look on the childrens faces in the film made me realize that this war needs to end. Every student, parent, adult and human being needs to see this film, and showing it to our high school of 2400 kids is just the begining.

Tell People:
People need to take a step back and realize that we are not only fortunate, but extrememly lucky and very spoiled. Instead of spending $20 on dinner, put one of those dollars in a jar each day and send it in to Invisible Children. It just takes one person to start a revolution, make that person you. As RX Bandits have said " We've had enough of these politicans wars, what we need right now is love"

Story:
After watching the film, all i could think was " wow, i cant beleive i have everything and these children have nothing." the day after seeing the film i harrased my teacher and convinced her to be our Schools for Schools sponsor. From there, things just starting taking form. We had over 100 students at our first lunch meeting that was very spur of the moment. At this point, we have a HUGE benefit concert with Fallen From The Sky and possible Dashboard Confessional set up, a fashion show, walk a thon, square dance, car wash, "invisible Wednesday" , a meditation seminar, publix donations and a rummage sale. Raising $200,000 is our goal and we are going to make that happen. My dream is to visit Uganda with the Invisible Children crew soon. Being President of the club has effected my everyday life.
