Tell People:
Yes, much like you and i, we take lives for granted. These Children, have no home, food, water or even the basic neccessity to properly function their daily lives. If i could, and will get my mates to attend one of the hopeful funraiser to Invisible Children, it will hopefully inspire them to do the same.

Story:
Well, as you know my name is Lan Trinh, 19yrs old and currently studying Criminal Justice Studies in RMIT Univserity, Melbourne. How i came upon your documentary was through my tutor in my International Human Rights/ Law class. Just recentlly in our lecture, we watched a documentary about a group of American teenagers, that is Invisible Children film makers, who visited a war torn civil country, Uganda, and followed a group of African children in their daily lives. Of course, your documentary was well delivered. Many were in tears, particualrly myself. I do praise and immensely respect the effort this organization has made to help these children. I congratulate you further because of the big difference you've made in such little time. What i'm trying to say is, after watching your film, it has made much impact on me, Today i bought your dvd, and i signed up with my tutor to promote the Invisible Children. I will soon be meeting with my local City Council and Mayor of Knox to discusss, if it possible, to create a fund raiser and all donation will be immediately transferred to your organisation. I also promise to make effort with High Schools, local communities, and Churches to help and raise as much money as possible, This of course will take time.

It is very important to support this cause because in Uganda children are dying everyday... this is a cause you can't avoid.

Thoughts:
this is an amazing thing, an amazing cause because these men, these kidnappers, need to be stopped. i think they have issues inside them selves that are telling them this is okay to do but that's no excuse. these kids are dying, fighting, killing everyday and they are going to have to live with that their whole lives if something is not done for them when they are still at a young age.

I cried but it was very informative; even as I was disgusted, I couldn't turn away.

SPREAD THE WORD...

Story:
I first received the video with a tank top I bought from Guess. I was inspired when just buying the shirt even before receiving a movie. I then took the video to Medix College (my college in London, ON) where my class (Developmental Support Workers), along with the Social Service Workers and the Dental Assistants watched the film. Every single person in the room was moved by the video... and therefore, took action to go to Guess themselves and buy a shirt, and receive a video to let other's know. After watching the movie in class... I decided to create a group on Facebook (sort of like a My Space for MSN Messenger thing) and sent the information out to friends on my facebook. What I am hoping is that the 187 friend I sent the information out to will also want to do something about this, or at least give the site a chance, and send it onto other's on facebook. I am also looking into doing fundraisors either within the school or as an individual to let everyone know and be aware of this horrible situation. Thank you so so so much for bringing this to my attention and I hope you get the results you are looking for. I will be supporting you.

This movie really makes me realize that so many people are being hurt every day and it is time that we the people do something about it.

Thoughts:
I saw it in my history class. I think that it is so moving, and it really inspired me to get up and get involved. I think that to much time has already been wasted and the world needs to help those poor little innocent children.

Inspiration:
My inspiration came from my world history teacher that allowed us to view this heart touching film. It really inspired me to get involved.

Tell People:
I want to tell people that if they were touched enough to visit this site than please get involved. Please support the site and get involved for the children.

Story:
I really don't know what all to say. I am 15 and I am from Lancaster County Virginia. I was born in Tennessee and I have preaty much lived the average life of a white female. Every life comes with diffaculties and this movie really makes me realize that so many people are being hurt every day and it is time that we the people do something about it.

The film inspired me to take a semester off of school and volunteer in Mississippi doing Katrina relief.

Thoughts:
It's great how there's a humor and a hope to the film that leaves you feeling refreshed and like you can do something about this problem rather than a deep sinking depression that could so easily be associated with this issue.

Inspiration:
My Christian faith and quite honestly a deep sense of guilt for the ease of my life.

Tell People:
This film is great for inspiring people to get involved in the world and drawing attention to the problems of Uganda, but while everyone is called to care about such humanitarian issues, not everyone is necessarily called to respond to the same ones. Learn about the atrocities in Uganda and spread that knowledge to those you know-but if you don't feel led to help with this issue in the form of time or money, lead yourself to another cause.

Story:
The night I watched Invisible Children at my college in late March I did two things: I bought the DVD and I decided to take a semester off from school and volunteer in Uganda, Sudan, or Rwanda. Unfortunately I was very low on funds and didn't know what sort of organization to go through. So instead I decided to focus this semester on disaster relief work in North America. I applied and was accepted with Mennonite Disaster Service and was assigned to Katrina relief in Mississippi. While being down here I have had numerous opportunities to share Invisible Children with fellow volunteers and have also been repeatedly impressed and humbled by the response of the local residents to the plights of others throughout the world despite their own despair at having lost all they have. They are able to see past their own problems and losses and look to the more grievous problems of those throughout the world.

Story:
I am a architecture student that is currently taking part in a competition to contsruct and work with architects without boarders in a projects that goin to change the fate of many children displaced by this misguided pseudo-religious fanatical uprising. The ideas behind this adult child center, which is the name of the project, will be organized in order to make it a major part of the "building futures initiative" where architectural works alongside sports, drama, art and crafts will be used as a psychological treatment tool to enhance and stimulate the healing process for these traumatized children. the centres will be organized on principles that highlight the benefits of working within a local community to create a clear vision for their future and successfully tackle long-term individual change for each of the children.

If you believe in helping the children of Uganda, but don't do anything about it, it's not helping.

Thoughts:
I think that this film is too hard to describe in words. I had no idea holocausts still go on today.

Inspiration:
Seeing Jacob cry made me cry, and although I am a girlie girl, almost NOTHING makes me cry...ever. I knew that if a movie made ME cry, I've got to do something about it. I did a screening at my church for a few hundred youth and spoke for a tad bit about IC. It was very successful and I would love to do more at even larger churches.

Tell People:
"To believe in something and not live it, is dishonest" -Gandhi. If you believe in helping the children of Uganda, but don't do anything about it, it's not helping. Live it. Do something. Start something. Get people to care. "Become the change you want to see in this world" (also by Gandhi). And see the change you have made.

Story:
My name is Michelle, I'm from Florida; I'm a Christian and I work in childcare, I have my whole life and I love it. I've been on 4 mission trips already, three in the US (Mississippi, New Orleans, and Key West) and one to the Ukraine. Almost three years ago, when I was 14, God told me that he wanted me in Africa. I had no idea where or why, but I knew I was supposed to be there. This past April, I finally knew exactly where in Africa I'm supposed to be. Now I'm getting ready to graduate May 17, 2007, and I'll hopefully be headed off to Uganda. All my friends and family know that I'm headed to Africa post graduation, and I try to get them to care about Uganda as much as I do.
